Corner View: "Front Door"

I had to invite myself along on the corner view journey. I hope Spain Daily doesn't mind but I'd like to tag along. It's such a nice idea. The thermometer went from below zero to about 55 F in a matter of a month and this was the frolicking I saw outside my front door.water balloon toss courtesy of big brother

Game On!!

I feel like Guinifer tonight. I'm going to spend the evening watching hockey and knitting. I started an Elizabeth Zimmermann's Baby Surprise Jacket - I checked out a DVD from the library that walks me through the whole thing. That is what this lump is - pictured here:And so - sending the boys off to the Xcel center for the hockey state championship, I will pour myself a glass of wine, (I know - dangerous when knitting) work with the rabbit ear antennae and settle in for a night of baby sweater knitting and hockey. Cheers!

St. Patty's Day is around the bend.

I won't pretend I'm Irish. I'm not. But I do love a McDonald's Shamrock Shake and I appreciate that, for a brief moment in March, my favorite color green is elevated to a nationally recognized status. My girlfriend didn't believe me when I told her that Chicago dyes the river green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. So here's the proof.

So I thought it would be fun to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by showing off my green knits. Geeky, but fun.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Corner View

Over at Life in Yonder, I read about a great idea - taking pictures of little parts of our lives. She found the idea at Spain Daily - a beautiful blog! Gorgeous photography.

Each week, there is a new theme to help focus your creative flow.

This week's Corner View: "Miniature World"

This picture was taken from my summer picture stash. I miss this little guy. I hope to find him another place in my garden very soon.

Plan B

Plan A:
Husband takes kids up north for some ice fishing and I spend the weekend recovering - not skiing but rather, knitting up a storm.

Plan B:
Forgotten basketball tournament, prescheduled playdate with good buddy to go see Alice in Wonderland, and a ski lesson (yup - I'll be back on skiis again tomorrow) for my Lunker that I forgot all about. I feel a bit like he looks.
