The Finish Line

Have you ever crawled over a finish line? That's how I feel about these socks. They are very colorful and the stitch is pretty but will I ever really wear flamboyantly colored socks like this? And will I ever forgive Noro Sock yarn for it's horrible inconsistencies and frequent knots and breakages? No never. I will never knit with Noro Sock again. Oh, and it's scratchy.

Here.

Socks.

Specs:
Pattern: Baby Cable Rib - Charlene Schurch
Yarn: yucky Noro Kureyon Sock
Needles: US 1 1/2 or 2.5 mm
CO 68 stitches
Size: Womens Medium

PS The yarn bleeds.

Well, they're still dazzling socks. I wish I had heard something good about Noro. I've always wanted to knit something in those fabulous colors. Maybe an outer garment would be better in this yarn. But, crap, if it runs it will either fade out or turn muddy. Maybe the color could be set with vinegar?

Once I can see again, I am going to have to say I told you so! That is one long color/pattern repeat!

I have yet to hear anything GOOD about Noro sock, other than the colors. Leah likes to use Noro Kureyon for hats, but I think that's about as far as we'll go w/ the Noro lust.

p.s. Phantom last night was mesmerizing, as expected. Love that show.

Dang, that stinks! At least they are pretty, get yourself some yummy sock yarn for your next project and revel in the feeling.

Very vibrant! Now you can add it to the FO pile. :)

But they are gorgeous. Do I understand the other comments correctly - do the colours run in when washed?

They are quite pretty though!! Bummer about the Noro...I feel bad for the two skeins that Snowboarder gave me when it first came out....

Awww. They're still beautiful. I'm thinking that they look good, just as they are..on sock blockers. I've had scratchy socks that have become decorations.

Sheep buttons...hmmm...hadn't thought about that. Will run this idea by the glass guy. :-)

I don't know if Guinifer reads my blog, so I just left a comment on hers to say that you thought she might find my most recent post of interest. Thanks for helping to spread the word.

This is exactly how I feel about the Noro socks I knit for my husband with size 13 feet!!! I was swearing so much whist knitting that I am sure I infused those socks with bad mojo.

Your socks turned out stunning. But, yeah... Noro sock yarn sucks.
