The Storm Rolled In

Good thing - I remembered to bring this back inside . . .
as the storm rolled in
and the storm rolled out.
We had a mess to clean up.

The neighbors did not fare so well.
But we'll all pitch in and and have it
cleaned and fixed up
in no time.

There is always a rainbow
after a storm.

Yikes -- looks like quite the storm. I like the way the sock stripes gently roll from one color into the next. Something very soothing about clapotis knitting. Have you seen the coin lace version? http://www.ravelry.com/projects/ThereseS/clapotis Just might need to give that one at try someday.

Wow! We just had walking garbage cans and flotsam and jetsam of branches and leaves....good for you saving the Clapotis!

Was Leo happy to see Ozzie up at camp?

We have been having some strong pop-up storms, too. Crazy weather. Thank goodness for good neighbors and yarn. :)

OMG! Is that tree resting on their HOUSE???? And how wet is it there that the tree came right up from the roots? Wow!

The socks look great! Our blanks are here, we will dye in between canning expeditions - it's bean time here!!

:O)

We were in Nebraska for two weeks and had one little storm for about half an hour one afternoon. I'm not exactly complaining, but I noticed that they had thundershowers the day after we left. It is kind of fun to sit on the porch and watch the rain though, as long as it doesn't take down trees, blow off roof tops, etc.
