Victorious!

You're looking at one very happy/tired Kortelopet skier.

Thank you SOOOO much to all of my bloggy friends and to my family and friends who were so encouraging. And thank you for listening to me bitch and moan.

I surprised myself, thinking it would take me 3 1/2 to 4 hours and finishing in 2 hours 41 minutes.

363 Days to the 2011 Birkie

Awesome, Rani! Congratulations!!! You have my utmost respect! I wondered how your race went while I was watching the olympic athletes do likewise today!

Yay! I get to be your first blogging buddy to congratulate you. What an accomplishment. I'm sitting here listening to Neil Young at the Closing Ceremonies sing "Long May You Run" getting a few tears in my eyes. Think Neil's singing about people like you who set a goal and make it. Very cool!

Good for you! You deserve that shiny new jewelry! We had hockey so we were unable to dig out our very loud cowbells last weekend!

Did you ever imagine, when you made the commitment, that you would win your own Gold medal during the last day of the 2010 Olympics? Score for the USA and Hazelhill! Congratulations!
Love, Mom

Excellent! That's so so awesome!

I was thinking of you while watching the Olympic nordic skiing events. I got tired and out of breath just watching, especially the uphill parts. :)
