What to do. . .

I'm rippling along on my Neat Ripple blankie when I realize that I'm being swallowed by a boa-constrictor of a project.

Ok.  I'll admit I thought the original chain I made seemed a bit short and wimpy so I may have added a few extra chains.  The throw is now large enough for a king-size bedspread.  No exaggeration.  To boot, I'm using a G hook which is like a US 3.  What the hell.  Do you see my little pink G hook down there?  T.I.N.Y.

What to do?  What to do?  Should I yank it all out and start again?  I mean, this will be a mother-F$%#er of a blanket.  And will I really make another one of more appropriate proportions once I've completely burned myself out of the whole ripple mess?  This may be my one and only.  What do I need with a King Sized THROW!?

What to do?  What to do?

You are asking the wrong person. I'm on row 100 of my single crochet ripple blanket (why did I do SC???), and I'm still going. One and a half years later. It covers my entire bed, but I still have yarn left so I am still going.

If you don't want a king sized throw, I say rip, rip, rip!

Oh dear. Continue on and have a very colorful, beautiful......tent?? I don't know. This is why I don't crochet much -- it grows and grows and grows. Anywho, the colors are very pretty. It could just be a life long "go to" project.

Two options here... One, keep going (and take ages if you must) until it's done or two, use what you've got for a scarf...?

I did the same thing. I kept chaining thinking that I would need more because it was going to be a scrappy ripple (though I was using an I hook...) and it would have been about a king-sized blanket. I made it about 8 inches and said, nope. I will be 80 by the time this is done and ripped it out. Now I am making a scrap blanket that I am much happier with :)

This, however, is your blanket so I will look forward to reading about you finally decide to do!
