Back from 'Up North'. A bit cold, wet and rainy at the cabin - which means: die-hard fishing, plastic army men,Polly Pockets, board games, fairy houses, and of course . . . a lot of knitting.I finished my first Monkey sock (well, almost) and I absolutely LOVE IT! Monkey Sock Pattern
The sock does look nice! I'm edging that way, cautiously, tentatively reaching for the dpns...I can't believe that, among all the plastic army men and Polly Pockets, there isn't one plastic farm animal with bent and chewed up legs! They were a staple of my childhood! They it right in with the fairy houses! lol, lol. :o) Thank you for sending the sock pattern. As I said, I'm edging that way...
Sounds like you had a little more knitting time than I did at the cabin - we had too much company. I really like how that color worked up in the monkey sock.
Those Polly Pockets are a little frightening. More so than the plastic army men. Especially when you step on them early in the morning.

The Monkey looks fantastic. Makes rainy cabin weekends worthwhile.
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I love the colors you use for all your socks - they are beautiful!
